Adult Programs

We help adults use swimming as a life long sport to improve their health, fitness and athletic achievements.

Classes are under the direction of Dr. Igor Shoukhardin and are conducted on a group, semi-private and private basis. Daytime and evening hours are available. Igor Shoukhardin has been coaching swimming for over 38 years. He has a Ph.D. in Sports Science and has researched the most efficient ways of achieving swimming propulsion and endurance. He has developed eleven Olympic, World, European, and University Games Medallists.

LEARN TO SWIM

Designed especially for those who want to overcome their fear of water, learn basic swim strokes and have fun at the same time. During these sessions, you will learn how to make yourself an accomplished swimmer through our carefully planned step by step approach. Once you have mastered the basic skills, you will be able to use swimming throughout your life for both recreation and fitness.

Class Length: 45 minutes.
12 sessions: $360

ADVANCED SWIMMING

This class is designed for adults who desire a refresher course in the basics of swimming and to obtain further swim skills. Completion of this course will provide you with improved breath control to enable you to cover greater distances with more confidence.

12 sessions: $216

SWIM STROKE CLINIC

Do you want to get the most out of your swimming? Attend our Swim Stroke Clinic and learn how to:
1. Swim with less effort;
2. Achieve fluidity with your stroke;
3. Design a swimming workout for fitness;
4. Recognize common swimming pitfalls;
5. Use specific swimming drills.

Length: Two Hours
Fees: $75
Minimum of 3 swimmers required.

MASTERS SWIMMING


Advance your swimming technique and style in all competitive swim strokes. Instructional drills and basic endurance/aerobic work are reinforced. Bilateral breathing, flip-turns and open turns are introduced and practiced. Course includes personalized stroke technique corrections to enable you to better obtain the benefits of extended swimming.

The All Star Masters Swimming is a program dedicated to the enjoyment and camaraderie that comes with team participation. Workouts are designed with competitive swimming goals.

Practice is scheduled on Tuesdays 6:00-7:30 AM; Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 7:00-8:30 PM. Before participating in the program, all new members must attend a swim evaluation with Coach Igor Shoukhardin.

Season: September through June.
Fees: $900 per year or $100 per month.
Schedule: Tuesday 6:00am-7:30am; Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 7:00pm-8:30pm

WATER EXERCISE CLASSES

Water exercise is fast becoming the most popular type of exercise because the body can maintain a level of fitness without injury in an aquatic environment. Some cardiovascular work can be done through swimming but for those people who are not efficient enough in their strokes or would like a change from "doing laps", water exercise can be a viable alternative. These classes are done vertically in the water either in shallow as in Aqua Aerobics or in deep water with a flotation belt as in Deep Water Running.

Come and try a class or a series of classes and see what a difference this type of water exercise can mean to your exercise regime. Classes are offered mornings and evenings.

Fees: $150 for 10 classes
