MICHAEL A. ROSS, Ph.D., Sport Psychology, former Asst. Professor, Physical Education, Kansas State University, is in charge of The Learn To Swim Division of New York Swims. Under his guidance, our program applies principles of educational psychology to the process of teaching children to swim. His wealth of experience includes training water safety instructors, directing aquatic swim programs for school districts, and coaching both age group and collegiate competitive swimming. Since 1979, he has founded, developed, and managed swim programs in New York.

IGOR SHOUKHARDIN, Ph.D., Biomechanics, former Associate Professor, at the P.F. Lesgaft Physical Education Academy, St. Petersburg, Russia, directs the Swim Excellence division of New York Swims. He has taught thousands of children to swim throughout his uninterrupted thirty-eight year career. His credits include developing eleven Olympic, World, European, and University Games Medalists. Since 1977 Dr. Shoukhardin has researched the most efficient ways of achieving athletic growth in junior swimming. People from many cities and states coming to Igor Shuhardin to visit and learn swim.
